El started piano lessons in Georgetown when she was 5 years old, being involved with music from a young age. She progressed through the RCM levels and took every opportunity to accompany choirs and church services, as well as perform in school bands. 

After high school, El started attending Wilfrid Laurier University for a bachelor’s degree in piano performance and is currently entering her 3rd year. She is dedicated to building community and bringing music opportunities to everyone through clubs such as the WLU Piano Forum, and by volunteering to teach piano with the Community Music School of Waterloo Region. After her bachelor’s degree, El hopes get a masters in piano performance and continue to develop her pedagogy skills to pursue a further career in piano teaching.
